Heavy Duty Mechanic:

As of May 2025, MFS is looking for an experienced and self-driven Heavy Duty Mechanic to support our remote service operations. This rotational, 14-on/14-off camp-based role involves diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on a wide range of off-road and industrial equipment. You’ll be joining a team that values precision, professionalism, and pride in work.

Your Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of off-road and industrial equipment

  • Perform field-based service on hydraulic, electrical, engine, and drivetrain systems

  • Work independently in remote locations during 14-on / 14-off rotations

  • Complete preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime

  • Accurately document service work in Fullbay and communicate with dispatch

  • Follow strict safety procedures and participate in daily FLHAs and toolbox talks


What You Bring to the Table

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic

  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical diagnostics

  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve in the field

  • Journeyperson certification (preferred) or proven equivalent experience

  • Valid Class 5 license and ability to work in a camp-based setting

  • A safety-first mindset and commitment to quality work
